Witch Hazel

February 23, 2018

With their delicate looking yellow, orange or red flowers, witch hazel (Hamamelis) offers warmth on a cold winter day. Interestingly,  the name Hamamelis comes from the Greek "hama" (together) and "mela" (fruit). It is possible to find witch hazels with flower and fruit simultaneously.
